The Cavaliers held Irving out of their preseason opener Wednesday against the Magic for rest, but the point guard reentered the starting lineup Saturday, bumping DeAndre Liggins to the bench. Irving instantly took on his usual high-usage role in the backcourt, trailing only Jordan McRae, who played 10 more minutes, in shot attempts. After playing in only 53 games last season after he was limited early on in his return from a fractured kneecap, a healthy Irving has a good chance at climbing back over the 20-point-per-game barrier.
