Jimmer Fredette is about to get another shot in the NBA.
Interim coach Kurt Rambis says Friday the New York Knicks are expected to sign the former NCAA player of the year to a 10-day contract Monday. Fredette has been playing for the Knicks’ affiliate in the NBA Development League.
Fredette was waived by San Antonio in the preseason and was picked up by Westchester, where the sharpshooter has played well. He was MVP of the D-League All-Star Game last weekend in Toronto.
But the former BYU star has found little success in the NBA after being drafted 10th overall by Milwaukee in 2011, averaging just 6.0 points for three teams.
