Klay Thompson: Scores 24 points in Monday’s win

Thompson, who entered the game shooting 9-for-46 (19.6%) from three-point range over the Warriors’ first five games, didn’t completing remedy his shooting woes from the outside, but lit up the Pelicans inside the arc en route to his second-best point total of the season. Though his scoring is down from a season ago, Thompson is only averaging a little over one fewer shot attempt and one fewer free-throw attempt through seven games, so once he notices some expected improvement in terms of efficiency from the field and beyond the arc, his stat lines should start to bear a closer resemblance to what he delivered in 2015-16.
