Thompson has hit double figures as a scorer in all five of the Warriors’ games, but his declining proficiency from three-point range had been all the talk heading into Thursday’s game. The 26-year-old had gone 3-for-28 on treys over his first four games, but seemed to iron things out Thursday by nailing a season-high four treys. Though Thompson figures to sacrifice some scoring this season with the arrival of Kevin Durant, it’s expected that his shooting efficiency will only trend upward from its current level, as he should benefit from plenty of clean looks thanks to the superstars he plays alongside.
