On the tail end of a back-to-back, Sacramento found themselves with an early advantage thanks to smart play. The Kings had yet to turn the ball over and were led in scoring by All-Star DeMarcus Cousins. By the end of the first quarter, Boogie chipped in 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting.
Three-pointers again pushed Sactown ahead by double-digits, as Anthony Tolliver hit on 3-of-3 from beyond the arc in the ensuing quarter to push the team’s lead to 10. Meanwhile, Willie Cauley-Stein and Ty Lawson continued their strong two-man game. The duo totaled eight points, including three layup/dunk opportunities.
On the backs of Darren Collison and Cousins, who each scored 11 in the third, the team sustained an eight-point advantage heading into the final 12 minutes.
For the fourth-consecutive contest, the game came down to the wire. In back-to-back outings, Sacramento has held a double-digit fourth quarter lead, only to have the opposition pull ahead in the final minutes.
Unlike last night in Indiana though, the Kings responded with a 4-0 run to close the contest in the final 90 seconds. Boogie, finishing with 35 points and 18 rebounds, hit the game-winning bucket with 14.3 on the clock.
