Kevin Garnett’s long and illustrious career has been full of milestones you would expect from a player whose been one of the best forwards in the league for years. The Big Ticket has managed to attain career longevity, and Sunday he reached another milestone.
Garnett became the fifth player in NBA history to reach 50,000 minutes played, putting him on a list with other NBA greats like Elvin Hayes (50,000), Jason Kidd (50,111), Karl Malone (54,852) and Kareem Abdul-Jabaar (57,446).
Garnett reached the mark in the third quarter of the Minnesota Timberwolves’ game against the Memphis Grizzlies. He finished the game with 8 points, 3 steals, 4 assists and 5 blocks in 23 minutes of action.
