Durant is planning to take a little less than a max deal in re-signing to the
Warriors, with the hope that they’ll be able to bring back some of their key
role players elsewhere, which appears to include Andre Iguodala as the biggest
priority. Already indicating that he wants to be with Golden State long term,
Durant isn’t in danger of heading elsewhere and should continue to be considered
a key player in heading the Warriors championship defense during the upcoming
campaign. The 2017 NBA Finals MVP averaged 25.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.8
assists, 1.1 steals, 1.6 blocks and 1.9 three-pointers across 33.4 minutes
during his first season with the Warriors.
