Kevin Durant: Closes out exhibition slate with 28-point outburst

Durant played at least 30 minutes in the last two preseason tilts and parlayed the extra floor time into scoring totals of 27 and 28 points, respectively. That stretch included 52.5 percent shooting(21-for-40) from the field, and the 10-year veteran was also able to post an impressive 55.8 percent success rate (19-for-34) from beyond the arc over seven exhibitions. The latter figure is particularly encouraging given Durant’s 38.6 percent figure from three-point range while with the Thunder last season, and his 38 percent career number in that category. Whether the improved long-range accuracy is part of the rub of playing alongside the Splash Bros remains to be seen, but Durant looks primed to be a top-five fantasy option in any format in the coming season.
