Kenneth Faried: Starts Sunday’s preseason game

Faried came off the bench in the exhibition opener Monday, as the Nuggets went with with both Jusuf Nurkic and Nikola Jokic up front. With Jokic (rest) sidelined Sunday, Faried re-entered the lineup and finished with 10 points, eight rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in 25 minutes. At this point, it’s unclear how, exactly, Faried will be utilized this season, but it’s possible coach Mike Malone will try him in both starting and bench roles.
