Oubre is now committed to the club through the 2017-18 season. He recorded just 3.7 points, 2.1 rebounds, 0.2 assists, 0.4 triples, and 0.3 steals in 10.7 minutes per game his rookie season. Barring injuries, his role does not figure to increase too dramatically with the Wizards as he enters his second season. However, the team clearly likes the potential they have with Oubre, as they decided to pick up his option.
