Olynyk came off the bench and played the game of his life to help the Celtics
topple the Wizards in Game 7. In fact the Boston big man outscored the entire
Washington bench by 20 points by himself, which is both a testament to his play
and an indictment on the Wizards’ depth. Olynyk’s 26 points equaled his total
from the previous three games combined and tied his highest point total of the
season. Olynyk shot 62.2 percent for the series and the Celtics’ will need for
that efficiency to continue if they hope to challenge LeBron James and the
defending champion Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals starting
Wednesday.
