Kawhi Leonard: Progressing as expected in recovery

Leonard was in and out of the lineup throughout the Spurs’ recent playoff run
due to a severely sprained ankle, which eventually led to the demise of the
team’s title hopes. However, after roughly a month off following elimination,
Leonard has already returned to physical activity, although he’s yet to take
part in full basketball activities. The Spurs are sure to ease him back into the
swing of things over the offseason, but Leonard is fully expected to be at full
strength heading into training camp prior to the start of the 2017-18 campaign.
Leonard finished his sixth NBA season with a career high of 25.5 points per
game, while also adding 5.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.8 steals and 2.0
three-pointers across 33.4 minutes.
