the San Antonio- Express-News relayed that coach Gregg Popovich indicated
Leonard “is not thrilled by the decision.” Thus, it appears the team stepped in
here in order to avoid any further damage to the ankle. The star small forward
aggravated the injury in Game 1, and has been sidelined since. His next
opportunity to return to the court will be Game 4 on Monday. In the meantime,
Jonathan Simmons figures to draw another start in Leonard’s place.
