Kawhi Leonard: Officially listed as doubtful for Game 2

Coach Gregg Popovich indicated earlier Monday that he didn’t expect Leonard to
be available, but his official listing as doubtful leaves at least a sliver of
hope that he could ultimately make a return. According to Michael C. Wright of
ESPN.com, Leonard’s recent MRI revealed no structural damage, so while that
doesn’t necessarily mean much for his Game 2 availability, that does at least
provide optimism that Leonard will be able to take the court later in the
series. If everything goes as expected, look for Leonard to sit out Tuesday,
with Johnathon Simmons the likely candidate to take his spot in the starting
lineup.
