Kanter supplied eight points (3-6 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and a steal over 19 minutes in Friday’s 100-96 Game 3 loss to the Spurs.

Kanter has been relatively quiet in the series’ first three games, after amassing point totals of 21 and 28 against the Mavericks in the first round. However, he’s remained efficient on a point-per-minute basis, averaging 8.7 points (and 5.7 rebounds) over 19 minutes per game in the semifinal round. Starting center Steven Adams has received an appreciable bump in playing time during the postseason– curtailing Kanter’s minutes to an extent– but he continues as an essential part of the second unit.
