Kanter Agrees To Deal With Trail Blazers

Free agent center Enes Kanter has agreed to a deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, he announced on Wednesday afternoon.

“I look forward to helping the Blazers achieve the ultimate goal of competing for a championship,” Kanter said on Twitter. “It is a blessing to continue to compete at the highest level! Let’s go Rip City.”

The 26 year old was waived by the New York Knicks on Feb. 7 after the NBA trade deadline. Over 44 games with New York this season, Kanter averaged 14.0 points and 10.5 rebounds in just 25.6 minutes.

The Blazers (33-23) are currently the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference.
