With just two days for further recovery until the Heat’s season opener against the Magic on Wednesday, it appears highly unlikely Richardson is going to be cleared. Richardson is slated to miss at least a couple games at the start of the season, but we won’t get an official ruling on his availability until Wednesday’s morning shootaround. Dion Waiters is expected to open the season as the team’s starting shooting guard, with Tyler Johnson backing him up, so look for those two to absorb the majority of the minutes there with Richardson likely out.
