Calderon was considered doubtful earlier on Wednesday, but coach Luke Walton confirmed later that Calderon will in fact miss the opener. He’s still battling back from a strained left calf and will need some extra time off for further recovery. His next opportunity to make his season debut will be Friday against the Jazz, but in the meantime, look for Jordan Clarkson and Marcelo Huertas to get more run at point guard off the bench.
