Jordan McRae: Scores 20 points in second straight preseason game

McRae has been an early standout for the Cavaliers in training camp and has carried that over to the team’s first two preseason games, tallying 20 points in each. While the Cavs have a void at shooting guard with J.R. Smith yet to be re-signed, it appears Iman Shumpert is the frontrunner for those duties due to his defensive abilities. That being said, McRae may have pushed himself into the conversation for a rotation role in the event Smith is still unsigned by the team the regular season starts. He’d provide the Cavs with some scoring punch off the bench on the occasions Kyrie Irving, LeBron James and Kevin Love need some further assistance on the offensive end.
