The backup guard certainly got his preseason audition to a fine start, showing some nice touch from the field over his time on the court. Harris is still a long shot to make the final roster, but considering the Nets considerable need for reliable scoring sources, he could very well make his case over the course of the exhibition slate. For the time being, the 25-year-old considerably outperformed fellow backup shooting guard candidates Randy Foye and Sean Kilpatrick on Thursday, who combined for only seven points on 1-for-11 shooting.
