Jazz Hit the Road to Face T-Wolves

The Utah Jazz will go for their second straight win when they take on the Timberwolves in Minnesota tonight.

Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. MT.

The Timberwolves feature one of the most talented young rosters in the NBA, but they’ve still opened up spots for veteran leadership–Kevin Garnett and Tayshaun Prince are regular starters.

Reigning Rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins leads the team in scoring at 20.7 points per game, while current Rookie of the Year frontrunner Karl-Anthony Towns has made a seemingly seamless transition to the NBA. The 20-year-old is averaging 15.9 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks in 28.8 minutes per game, and he leads the team with a PER of 22.0.

Point guard Ricky Rubio leads the Wolves in assists (8.8) and steals (2.3) per game.

Zach LaVine, Gorgui Dieng, Shabazz Muhammad, Kevin Martin and Nemanja Bjelica come off the bench for Minnesota.

The Timberwolves (11-20) have lost four straight games.

The Jazz (13-16) will once again be shorthanded. Derrick Favors (back spasms) did not go through shootaround and is questionable to play tonight, while Alec Burks (fractured fibula), Rudy Gobert (sprained MCL) and Dante Exum (torn ACL) remain out indefinitely.

Utah is coming off a 95-91 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday. The Jazz squandered a 21-point lead before a huge 3-pointer by Gordon Hayward in the final minute propelled them to the victory.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast on ROOT SPORTS (Xfinity–693, DirecTV–683.1, Dish–450, Hopper–412-38). TV coverage begins at 5:30 p.m. MT. You can also listen to the game on the Utah Jazz mobile app, which is available for iPhone and Android.*

*Audio begins at tipoff and is limited to a 75-mile radius of Salt Lake City.
