After falling to LeBron James and the Cavs in a down-to-the-wire shootout on Tuesday, the Utah Jazz will continue their road trip tonight against James’ former team–the Miami Heat.
Chris Bosh is re-staking his claim as one of the best outside-in big men in the NBA after he played in only 44 games last season because of a blood clot in his lungs. Now healthy, Bosh is averaging a team-high 18.3 points, along with 9.9 rebounds and 1.9 3-pointers, per game.
Dwyane Wade is scoring 18.0 points and dishing out a team-high 4.4 assists per game for Miami, while center Hassan Whiteside is building off of his breakout last season with averages of 15.3 points, 11.4 rebounds and a league-best 3.9 blocks per game.
Point guard Goran Dragic, who re-signed with the Heat during the offseason, has struggled out of the gates with averages of 10.1 points and 4.0 assists per game.
The Heat have a record of 5-3 and are coming off a 101-88 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.
The Jazz are sitting at 4-3 after Tuesday’s 118-114 loss in Cleveland. Alec Burks scored a team-high 24 points in the loss, while Gordon Hayward (17), Derrick Favors (17), Rodney Hood (16), Trey Burke (16) and Rudy Gobert (15) all scored in double figures.
Gobert suffered a sprained ankle midway through the fourth quarter against the Cavs. He re-entered the game briefly after some treatment, but sat out the final few minutes and has not taken the court for practice or shootaround since. He will not play tonight.
The game will be broadcast on NBA LEAGUE PASS.
