Dante Exum scored a game-high 26 points to lead the Utah Jazz to a 100-94 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday at the Utah Summer League.

Exum, who also had 10 assists, outplayed the 76ers’ Markelle Fultz, the 2017 first overall draft pick. Fultz scored 23 points, including four three-pointers, but struggled with turnovers, committing six.

The Jazz led nearly throughout, taking the lead for good in the first quarter. But the game was far from non-competitive, as the lead was within two possessions in the closing minute. It was the Sixers’ second consecutive narrow loss after falling to the Boston Celtics by one point in Monday’s league opener.

Highly touted rookie Donovan Mitchell finished with 15 points and four assists for Utah, and forward Alex Poythress also impressed, scoring 17 points and pulling down eight rebounds.

The Sixers plays the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday, while Utah faces the Boston Celtics and third overall pick Jayson Tatum.
