Boston’s selection was perhaps the biggest unanswered question going into
Thursday’s draft, but the Celtics went with the former Duke standout over Josh
Jackson. Tatum is a pure shooter with great ball-handling skills, and his
strengths are obvious with the ball in hi hands but not as evident on the
defensive end. Tatum’ will challenge Jae Crowder for playing time, but with
Boston in the current conversation as a destination for Paul George, it’s too
soon to tell where the chips will fall in Boston’s backcourt.
