The No. 3 overall pick had seen 20 minutes or fewer off the bench in each of the Celtics’ first four games, but with Jae Crowder (ankle) ruled out for a week or more, coach Brad Stevens tabbed the rookie for his first career start. Brown certainly didn’t disappoint, showcasing a multi-faceted skill set that translated to a full stat line, against the reigning NBA champs no less. Suffice to say, Brown shouldn’t be at risk of losing his spot in the lineup until Crowder returns, making him an attractive short-term pickup in most leagues.
