James Johnson: Scores season-high 18 points off bench

On a night where the Heat struggled to generate offense, Johnson, who has averaged 6.5 points per game over 404 career contests, was the team’s surprising scoring leader. With starting power forward Luke Babbitt not really living up to his reputation as a three-point shooting specialist in the early going, Johnson could get an opportunity at some point to slide up to the top unit. However, most of Johnson’s value comes on the defensive end and isn’t always easily quantifiable, so he doesn’t make for an especially interesting fantasy entity.
