Jahlil Okafor: Plays eight minutes in preseason debut

Making his preseason debut Friday after he was limited throughout most of training camp while rehabbing a surgically-repaired right knee, Okafor looked good during his brief spell on the court. With Okafor coming out of the preseason finale with no issues, he looks like a safe bet to play in Wednesday’s regular-season opener against the Thunder, but expect him to remain under a minutes restriction of some sort. Even once he’s fully healthy, Okafor could have a tough time regularly touching the 30.0 minutes he averaged as a rookie, as he now finds himself as the 76ers’ first big man off the bench behind frontcourt starters Joel Embiid and Dario Saric.
