Jae Crowder: Fills out three categories in limited minutes

Crowder was an under-the-radar fantasy gem last season with averages of 14.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.7 three-pointers in 31.6 minutes per game, all of which were career highs. While he’s firmly solidified himself as a foundational player for the Celtics, he may have trouble replicating those numbers again, particularly in the offensive categories. In the Celtics’ first two preseason games, Crowder has sacrificed some shots to accommodate free-agent pickup Al Horford. With Horford, Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley all expected to rank ahead of him in usage among the starting five, Crowder may need to up last year’s shooting marks from the field (44.3%) and three-point range (33.6%) in order to compensate for an expected drop in volume.
