Though it initially seemed that Smith’s injury wasn’t too serious when he was removed from Monday’s game against the Sixers, the Cavs are going to play it safe and give him a break for the next two contests. With Iman Shumpert (wrist) and Kyrie Irving (knee) both out as well, Matthew Dellavadova would appear to be the top candidate to start at shooting guard in Smith’s absence.
