J.J. Barea: Improving as Game 3 approaches

Carlisle said Barea did “a little bit” of on-court work at Wednesday’s practice, but the team continues to handle his strained right groin with caution. The guard missed Game 2 and has not played since the first half of Game 1, when he aggravated the injury. Barea remains firmly questionable in advance of Game 3, as does teammate Deron Williams (hernia), so Dallas could again be shorthanded in the backcourt if one or both players are ultimately ruled.
