After hitting two or more treys in each of the Celtics’ first four games, Thomas came up empty from downtown Thursday, but was able to notch a season-high point total thanks to his excellent work at the free-throw line. The 27-year-old has shown no signs of slowing down after earning an All-Star nod in 2015-16, as he’s averaging 25.4 points (on 48.8% shooting from the field), 7.2 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 2.2 three-pointers and 1.4 steals in 34.4 minutes per game.
