With Michael Carter-Williams (knee) exiting early, Canaan stepped in as the main backup to starting point guard Rajon Rondo and put on a shooting clinic during his time on the court. Canaan has already buried six treys through the Bulls’ first three games, and his output could continue if Carter-Williams is sidelined beyond Monday. He probably won’t see this much run in competitive games, but Canaan will have a solid role in the second unit for the duration of Carter-Williams’ absence.
