Irving bounced back with a game-high 35 points (14-28 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT) with four rebounds, four assists and two steals during 40 minutes in Monday’s 109-94 win against the Hawks.

Irving struggled mightily in Saturday’s loss to the Bulls, so it was nice to see him respond in a game that the Cavaliers needed to lock up home court throughout the East playoffs. He was able to get inside and out, getting to the rim while also hitting four three-pointers for the first time in six games. If Irving was able to go off against a strong Atlanta defense, God only knows what he’ll do to either the Pistons or Pacers in the first round.
