Iman Shumpert: Placed in concussion protocol

Shumpert was forced from Tuesday’s season opener after hitting his head against Knicks’ center, Kristaps Porzingis, during the third quarter. Shumpert will now have to pass through a series of tests in order to be cleared of all symptoms, which brings his status into question for both Friday’s matchup with the Raptors, as well as Saturday’s outing versus the Magic. Look for his status to be updated again as practice commences later this week.
