Huertas has been battling a right hamstring injury for over a week and should be expected to play in the Lakers’ season opener against the Timberwolves on Wednesday. The 32-year-old out of Brazil just joined the Lakers over the offseason and totaled 18 assists within three preseason games over 54 total minutes. The point guard may not see much playing time, however, due to three fellow point guards, D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, and Louis Williams holding spots ahead of him in the lineup.
