Before Tuesday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, the Minnesota Timberwolves helped replace a stuffed animal that was much more than that to a young girl.
Meet Hannah. She’s a Roseville native who has endured many hospital stays, which has included more than 30 procedures over the last four years. Her stuffed animal, Hammy, went with her wherever she went and underwent the same procedures.
But at the end of February, Hammy fell out of Hannah’s backpack on her way to a benefit held in her honor at Kieran’s.
Our friends at Fox 9 have been on the story since Hammy went missing and the word got out for people to keep their eyes open.
Hammy hasn’t been found, but on Tuesday, the Wolves invited Hannah and her family to the game. That wasn’t it, though. Hannah was on the court pregame when Wolves rookie point guard Tyus Jones delivered Hannah a new stuffed animal and after Andrew Wiggins also stopped by to sign it, Hannah thought “Wiggy” was an appropriate name.
