Hood put together a stellar second year in the league, posting averages of 14.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.6 steals, 0.2 blocks, and 2.0 three pointers during 32.2 minutes across 79 games.

Hood solidified his spot in Utah’s starting lineup this season as he started in all 79 games and managed to score at least 20 points in 15 of those outings. His stock is undoubtedly on the rise heading into next year even though fellow shooting guard Alec Burks is going into the offseason relatively healthy for the first time in two years. At just 23 years old, Hood has proven that he can contribute in all categories while even shooting a respectful average of 42 percent from the field, considering the league average was 45 percent for the 2015-16 regular season. The hype will only continue to grow throughout the offseason, although the Utah roster will retain their main components, meaning Hood will be splitting up touches with Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors, and Rudy Gobert next season.
