Jeff Teague was questionable to play prior to the game due to a hand injury. His hand didn’t hold him back however, as he ended up leading the way for Atlanta by putting up 26 points, nine assists, six rebounds, one steal, and two threes in 34 minutes of action.
Al Horford continued his strong start to the season by chipping in 17 points, 13 boards, two assists, and one steal in 34 minutes. After going 0-5 from long distance in his previous game, it was Horford’s first game this season without a three point attempt. Kent Bazemore continued his impressive start to the season, replacing the departing DeMarre Carroll in the starting lineup, and provided 10 points, five rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 32 minutes. The Hawks will look to add on to their four game winning streak Wednesday as they welcome the Nets to Atlanta.
The Heat were led by Hassan Whiteside, who put up 23 points, 14 rebounds, and four blocks in 31 minutes. He was also nearly perfect from the field, goin 11-12. Dwyane Wade and Goran Dragic each provided 21 and 19 points respectively. Miami will look to bounce back Thursday in Minnesota.
