Hassan Whiteside, Dwyane Wade may miss game vs. Sacramento

As their West coast road trip forges on, the Miami Heat may (or may not) be without two key members of the lineup again tonight.

Center Hassan Whiteside and guard Dwyane Wade missed Miami’s 115-99 loss to the red-hot Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night. The duo is listed as out for tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings (10:30 ET, NBA League Pass), but that may not be the case come game time.

Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel has more on the status of Wade and Whiteside as tonight’s game nears:

Whiteside has missed the past two games due to what the team is listing as “left hip pain.” He went through an upper-body workout and conditioning drills prior to Monday night’s loss to the Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center.

Wade missed Monday’s game with what the team is listing as a “mild left hamstring strain.” He was injured late in Saturday’s victory over the Washington Wizards at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Both are traveling with the Heat for this three-game trip that concludes Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center.

Rookie center Bam Adebayo has started the past two games in place of Whiteside, with Rodney McGruder getting Wade’s rotation minutes Monday in Portland.
