Griffin went for 12 points (4-12 FG, 4-6 FT), nine rebounds, four assists and a block over 31 minutes in Wednesday’s 102-81 Game 2 victory over the Trail Blazers.

After a 19-point, 12-rebound double-double in Game 1, Griffin was a bit quieter and less effective from the field Wednesday. He still managed to contribute across the stat sheet, but Maurice Harkless also played some effective defense against him down low, contributing to the rather modest output for the Clippers’ All-Star. The encouraging news for Griffin is that he’s now eclipsed the 30-minute mark in both playoff games, after having worked his way back into the starting five towards the tail end of the regular season. His contributions will undoubtedly be pivotal for the remainer of the postseason, particularly in games that end up being more competitive than the first pair of tilts versus Portland.
