Green (ankle) played 40 minutes in Monday night’s Game 1 loss to Oklahoma City. He scored 23 points (9-20 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 5-9 FT) along with five rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocked shots.

Green had suffered an ankle injury during the final game of the Portland series, but was never in doubt for Monday’s series-opener against the Thunder. While the stat line looks normal, Green was part of the Warriors’ lineup that let this game slip away over the final 18 minutes. Whether it was ill-advised shots early in the shot clock or trying to make up a two- or three-possession deficit in one possession, Green and his mates “have to be better at being us”, as Stephen Curry so pithily put it to the San Jose Mercury News.
