Miami Heat guard Goran Dragic scored 35 points in Sunday’s EuroBasket 2017 Final, leading Slovenia to its first-ever EuroBasket title. Led by Dragic, Slovenia overcame Serbia and Sacramento Kings guard Bogdan Bogdanovic (22 points) for a 93-85 win.
Dragic’s 35 points set a new single-game EuroBasket record for his native country. After the win, the NBA veteran was named tournament MVP.
Slovenia had beaten Spain, the defending champions who feature NBA stars Marc Gasol and Pau Gasol, to reach the championship game.
