Per Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra, guard Goran Dragic’s status for Game 5 of The Finals on Friday (9 ET) remains unchanged. He was listed as doubtful going into Game 4.
Dragic sat out Game 4 with a torn left plantar fascia. The Slovenian veteran was a game-time decision before ultimately being ruled out after testing the injury during pregame warmups.
He didn’t play in the second half of Game 1 after suffering his injury. Dragic has been able to put pressure on the foot, but the guard said before Game 4 that dealing with the pain is the most significant factor in his potential return.
Dragic averaged 22.8 points to lead the Heat in their first-round sweep of Indiana in the first round. Butler paced Miami with 23.4 per game when it knocked out top-seeded Milwaukee in the Eastern Conference semifinals and Adebayo scored 21.8 per game in the East finals, making the Heat the first team since the 1999 San Antonio Spurs to reach The Finals with three leading scorers in each of the first three rounds.
