Warriors star Kevin Durant will miss at least two weeks after an MRI revealed an incomplete rib cartilage fracture, the team announced Friday.
It marks the latest blow for the defending champions, who also count Stephen Curry (ankle) and Klay Thompson (thumb) among nine players on their most recent injury report. At least one of players, Draymond Green, was expected to return Friday against the Kings after missing the Warriors’ most recent outing with a shoulder issue.
Durant, 29, is averaging 26.6 points on 52-percent shooting in his second season with the Warriors, who entered Friday two games behind the first-place Rockets in the Western Conference.
