Robinson’s efficient scoring off the bench was essential to the victory, but given his career 41.7 percent shooting mark from the field, nights like this aren’t likely to happen often. It will be even more difficult for Robinson to crack double digits in the scoring column during the regular season, as coach Nate McMillan has already announced his intention to roll out a nine-man rotation that likely won’t include the third-year swingman. Robinson will have to dominate in his subsequent preseason outings in order to change McMillan’s thinking.
