Green had missed the Celtics’ first two games of the exhibition schedule while recovering from a hip flexor, but after the veteran was cleared to play Saturday, coach Brad Stevens wasted no time in giving him a sizable workload. Since he’s signed to a manageable one-year, $1.41 million contract, Green won’t be guaranteed a roster spot heading into the regular season, but now that he’s healthy, he probably has a sizable edge over his main competition, James Young and Ben Bentil.
