Gary Harris: Ruled out for Wednesday’s opener

Harris ramped up his activity in practice earlier in the week, but he’s yet to be cleared to participate in full sessions. As a result, the Nuggets will hold the starting shooting guard out of action Wednesday, clearing the way for either Will Barton or Jamal Murray to likely move into the starting lineup. Denver has not announced which of the two will get the start, but both players should be in line for increased minutes, regardless. Harris, who is coming off of a breakout 2015-16 campaign, should be considered day-to-day in advance of Saturday’s home opener against Portland.
