The Memphis Grizzlies (2-1) will play the Golden State Warriors (3-0) on Monday night at Oracle Arena in Oakland.
After dropping their season opener against the Cavaliers, the Grizzlies have won their last two games, including a 101-91 victory over the Nets on Saturday night. Mike Conley led all scorers with 22 points to go along with eight assists, two rebounds, and a steal. Zach Randolph pitched in with 15 points, 13 rebounds, and an assist, in what marked his best performance so far this season. Marc Gasol was briefly taken out of Saturday’s game with several jammed fingers, but was able to return to the court in the second half. The injury shouldn’t affect his status for Monday.
The Warriors are starting the 2015-16 campaign right where they left off last season. The defending champs bested the Pelicans on Saturday night, by a score of 134-120. Stephen Curry stole the show, giving a MVP-worthy performance with 53 points (7-27 FG, 8-14 3Pt, 11-11 FT), nine assists, four rebounds, and four steals in 36 minutes. Festus Ezeli got his second straight start, filling in for a concussed Andrew Bogut. Bogut may be able to return to the court Monday night, but no official decision has been made yet.
