The Cleveland Cavaliers will wrap up a six-game road trip, as they visit Golden State to take on the Warriors, at Oracle Arena on Monday night.
The Cavs (29-10) are 3-2 on their road trip so far and snapped a two-game losing streak when they defeated the Kings, 120-108, in Sacramento on Friday. Their big three came up big in three different categories in the win, as Kyrie Irving led the way with 26 points, while LeBron James dished 15 assists and Kevin Love hauled in 18 rebounds. Kyle Korver also came up big, as he had his best game as a member of the Cavaliers, with 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-6 from deep. The Cavs remain the top team in the East, 2.5 games ahead of the second place Raptors. They are 11-7 on the road this season, but face one of the toughest challenges in the NBA, as they look to earn a win in Golden State on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Warriors (34-6) own the best record in the league; are 8-2 in their last 10 games; have won three straight overall and are 18-3 at home this season. They are coming off a 127-107 home win over the Pistons on Thursday, where they shot 56 percent from the field, including 51 percent from long range, and dished 39 assists. The Warriors continue to roll through opponents, as they have three players averaging over 20 points per game; Kevin Durant with 26.0, Stephen Curry with 24.7, and Klay Thompson with 21.3 points per game. Not to mention, Draymond Green who does everything else, as he averages 8.5 rebounds, 7.7 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.2 blocks per game, to go along with a modest 10.7 points per game. The Warriors will be looking for revenge, as they fell to the Cavs in their first meeting this season, which took place in Cleveland on Christmas Day, albeit the game ended with a questionable no-call on Kevin Durant, who was admittedly fouled on the play, as outlined in the L2M report the following day.
