Game Preview: Suns v Heat

The Miami Heat will head to Phoenix on Wednesday to take on the Suns at Talking
Stick Resort Arena. This will be stop number four for the Heat (4-6) on their
current six-game road trip, and they are coming off their second 17-point loss
of the season. This time it came at the hands of the defending champion
Warriors, who held the Heat to a season-low 80 points Monday night. In that
game, Miami shot just 36.1 percent from the field and turned the ball over 20
times while tallying just 19 assists as a team. The biggest thing for the Heat
moving forward now will be getting their star big man Hassan Whiteside back on
track, as he is coming off a miserable performance at Golden State, scoring just
three points on 1-of-9 shooting from the field and grabbing six rebounds in 16
minutes. Luckily for Whiteside and his team, they’ll be going up against the
second-worst scoring defense in the NBA on Wednesday. The Suns (4-7) are
currently giving up 114.8 points per game and riding a three-game losing streak
after a stretch where they had won four out of five. However, after play their
last six games on the road, Phoenix finally returned home Monday night to kick
off a six-game home stand. Additionally, the Suns also finally dealt point guard
Eric Bledsoe, who had expressed unhappiness with where he was, to the Milwaukee
Bucks in exchange for big man Greg Monroe and multiple draft picks. Monroe
(calf), however, is still probably out for another week with a calf injury.
